Making An Artist [Rien ne va plus] setzt sich mit Formen der ideellen und materiellen Anerkennung auseinander. FAMED strebt die treuhänderische Verwaltung des jährlichen Jurypreises der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig an, der im Rahmen der Rundgangsausstellung ausgelobt wird. Der Preis soll zur Entwicklung einer Marketingstrategie für die von der Jury ausgezeichnete Arbeit verwendet werden, die nicht von FAMED stammt. Die mit dem Rundgangspreis verbundenen finanzi- ellen Mittel werden ausschliesslich für die nominierte Arbeit ein- gesetzt mit dem Ziel, den materiellen und symbolischen Wert sowohl der Künstlerin/des Künstlers als auch der Künstlergruppe FAMED innerhalb eines Jahres zu vermehren. Hierfür stellt FAMED die eigene Arbeitskraft, Ausstellungsräume, entsprechende Katalogbeiträge sowie das eigene soziale Netzwerk zur Verfügung.

Making An Artist (Rien ne va plus) examined forms of non-material and material recognition. In this work, FAMED offered to take over the administration of the jury prize of the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, which is awarded annually within the framework of the open house period. The prize money is meant to be used to develop a marketing strategy for the award-winning work not created by FAMED. The prize money was to be used solely for the nominated work, with the goal of increasing, within a year, the material as well as the symbolic value of both the winning artist and the artists’ group FAMED. FAMED agreed to contribute its own labour and exhibition rooms to the cause and to contribute articles to relevant catalogues and make its own social network available.
